The Power of Connections: How a High-Quality Network Can Open Doors You Never Thought Possible

As I've been reflecting on my professional journey lately, I've realized the immense #power of networks. And not just any network, but one that goes beyond the number of LinkedIn connections or #business cards collected.

There are different levels of network power, and I've come to understand that they all require different skills and approaches. At the junior level, expansion is key - knowing who you can turn to for help or advice can make all the difference. As you move up to the middle level, being a broker becomes crucial - being able to connect people in your network with each other and create partnerships can lead to more #opportunities for everyone involved.

But the highest level of network power is #covenant. At this level, people don't need to know you personally - they simply need to know of your reputation and trust that you can help them achieve their goals. It's a level that takes time and effort to build, but the rewards are immeasurable.

Recently, I've been approached by several leading VC funds in Silicon Valley to help them with fundraising and deal sourcing. While I don't have any direct #experience in working at a VC firm, I believe this opportunity is a result of the hard work I've put in to build a high-quality network and consistently coach and connect #startups. It's a testament to the power of networks and the impact they can have on our careers and professional journeys.

So, to all my fellow professionals out there: never underestimate the power of networks. Keep expanding, brokering, and building trust - you never know where it might take you.

Last, I want to thank my #leadership mentors Tracy Wilk and JeanAnn Nichols, to help me review my business journey! And they are great coaches.
